Leslie Maizel earned her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2000 and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2003. Leslie works with adult and adolescent patients from diverse backgrounds, helping them learn to cope with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger and stress management, emotional dysregulation and communication skills.
She brings a solution oriented, strengths-based approach to her practice, guiding patients to achieve long term improvements in their mental health and well-being by employing a variety of techniques, including: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy.
She incorporates skills such as mindfulness, grounding and guided meditation to complement traditional therapies. Leslie offers a warm and compassionate environment in order to create a trusting professional relationship.
