Beverly Mason, MSW(Master of Social Work), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) earned her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University.
Beverly has an extensive history working with young adults, adults, couples, and families in a variety of mental health settings. Beverly works with issues regarding mood, anxiety, substance use, relationships, developmental transitions, and stress management.
Beverly specializes in the treatment of young adults (16-24), individuals and families struggling with issues related to adoption, and those struggling with LGBTQ issues. Beverly is trained in a number of treatment modalities including but not limited to:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In addition to providing therapy at The Center for Psychological Services, Beverly is the Director of “The Next Step Program” at Rutgers University’s “Counseling, Alcohol & Other Drug Assistance Program and Psychiatric Services” (CAPS). She also teaches as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers University.
In her free time Beverly enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and hiking.
